The film was praised for faithfully recreating the culture of the 1980s, when baseball was first taking root in Korea.

zmovie Family Ties (2006)
is an ensemble drama from Kim Tae Yong, the co-director of chiller Memento Mori. The film tells three seemingly unconnected stories in a trilogy of distinct segments. The first part is the story of a woman who has to deal with her long-lost brother's surprise visit. After having been missing for several years, the brother appears and moves in, with his new wife in tow - a much older woman, Mu Shin. The second story features a searing performance from Gong Hyo Jin as a short-tempered young woman, who discovers that her estranged mother, with whom she has had a falling out, is terminally ill. Part three examines the relationship problems faced by a young couple.

A writer meets an attractive woman and falls in love on first sight. Will there love last? Goo Joo-wol is a writer and a part-time as a bartender. He's currently working on his second novel, but stuck with a bout of writer's block. Joo-Wol then accompanies the president of his publishing company to Berlin on a business trip as a translator. On his last day in Berlin, Joo-Wol attends a party for movie industry insiders. Joo-Wol, bored with the party, steps outside to smoke a cigarette. A woman named Hee-Jin then walks next to him and smokes a cigarette. Joo-Wol falls in love on first sight. Back in Seoul. Hee-Jin finds a letter and a flower basket awaiting for her on her desk. Hee-Jin reads the letter from Joo-Wol and finds it funny. Meanwhile, Joo-Wol waits and waits for her phone call. Finally, Joo-Wol gets the phone call from Hee-Jin. The soon-to-be couple will meet for the second time.

A missing person case involving a female university student and the victim in a hit and run case appears to be the same person. Detectives look for a witness. A witness, Min Soo-Ah appears, but Min Soo-Ah is blind. She used to be a promising student at the police academy. With her acute senses, Min Soo-Ah is able to reveal important clues on the hit and run case. Another witness, Kwon Gi-Seob then appears. Gi-Seob, who witnessed the case with his own eyes, gives contradictory statements to Min Soo-Ah. The investigation then goes through many twists and turns, while Min Soo-Ah finds herself up against the killer.
